Welcome to the Santa Barbara School of Performing Arts

The Santa Barbara School of Performing Arts (SB SOPA) is a conservatory-style program dedicated to nurturing artists of all ages through rigorous, inspiring training in theatre. We cultivate confidence, creativity, and discipline by engaging youth and adults in both contemporary and classic works.

SB SOPA exists to empower performers to discover their voice, develop their craft, and grow as individuals—emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Through singing, dance, acting, and public speaking, we foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that values teamwork, goal setting, and personal expression.
